I love color, nature, and the odd way of looking at things. The colors in my alcohol ink paintings grew out of a seven year love affair with the Pacific Northwest. The plethora of the hues of greens alone would take a lifetime to paint them all. I found that ink on Yupo paper were as close to the vibrancy of the forests and gardens as I could get. A move to the Arizona desert in 2021 required a a much more intense search for beauty and color. The desert demands every flower and plant have a ruggedness to stand up and fight for survival, while the Pacific Northwest floral 'pansies' just sat back in their splendor and lets nature do all the work. Perhaps that’s what inspired me to look back to my original passion for mixed...
